Purple Helmets are a Guild Wars 2 guild based on the Gunnar's hold server.

We are a friendly mixed bunch of experienced gamers of a wide range of ages and sexes (well only two of those obviously) and we play mostly PvE and regularly visit dungeons and fractals.

The original Purple Helmets guild was founded by ElHoggo (who is ElHoggo?) about 13 years ago as a role playing guild on the Europa shard of Ultima Online. At one time we were one of the five largest guilds on the shard and specialized in roleplaying characters and recruiting members who were new to the game and the genre and helping them master what was an extremely complex game. Many left and formed their own guilds, and we regarded that as a job well done.

Take a look at the original website here and, for those of you old enough to remember what was debatably the best online MMORPG ever, take a trip down memory lane. For those of you too young to have played Ultima Online you can laugh at the graphics but you missed an incredible, immersive experience.

We are actively recruiting now on Guild Wars 2 and all are welcome.

Pre-requisites are simply a sense of humour and a determination to have fun.
